BA(HONS) FILMMAKING - Leeds College of Art

Leeds College of Art is one of the UK’s few remaining independent art schools and soon to be the only specialist arts university in the North of England. Leeds BA (Hons) Filmmaking is an intensive course where we write, plan and make films in the studio and on location; producing work in a community of filmmakers and friends, supported through discussion, practice and expert staff and facilities. Students take an active and creative role in all stages of development and production, learning the skills of directing, producing, cinematography, sound, editing, production design and scriptwriting.

Graduates will be able to work across the screen industries in a wide range of job roles in camera, lighting, sound, producing and creative, development and research teams. Some graduates will build freelance careers within film and TV, and some may work for film production companies, studios, edit houses and major broadcasters, such as the BBC or ITV.

Next open day on Wednesday 14 June!

At the open day you can get a feel for the friendly and creative environment and discover why Leeds College of Art is an amazing place to study. You will be welcomed by their team of student ambassadors, taken on a tour of the award winning facilities, and can also visit the accommodation where you will live.
